How to cope with the loss of a loved one

We all love and breathe by the language of love. As humans, we possess an innate quality to share and shower love on our fellow beings. But when the life of such loved ones end, our whole world turns upside down. Life suddenly starts to lose its meaning and it becomes harder and harder to express or share how you feel to the others. There is anger, pain and hopelessness all around you, but it all comes down to the bitter realisation that life must go on.  We must learn to rise back and live life, for that is the dream our loved ones have always had for us. We must take care of ourselves, along with the others around us who share our grief. That's where the loss gets honoured. Even though there are million reasons, convincing enough to take life forward, it may all seem standstill. The haywire emotions may stop you from thinking straight, but remember to fight it. We must remember to fight for our own wellbeing and dedicate ourselves for understanding and actualizing the

5 Ways of Self-Appreciation for This New Year

Hello 2020! It's time for an actually HAPPY new year. But, how happy is it? We all know it the new year traditions are extremely high-held and everyone is just spelled with it. But arriving the next day like today, the second of Jan, the vibe is washed away. But why? Why can't we be happy for the entire year? Here's a quick look into how SELF-APPRECIATION can make it happen. Having taken up studies in Psychology, I'm in quest for originality more than ever. During my quest, I stumbled upon self-appreciation, a 'habit' that has the capability of turning into a 'quality' . My 2019 has been a pot-pourri of life, career and inner-seeking, that required a great deal of confidence in myself at every step. At every such step, it is the 'Appreciation' from the near-and-dear that held the pieces of my mind together. That is when I realised the value of even the smallest dose of appreciation that had the power to push . This coupled with an equal

Is it okay to be 'Branded'? How good is it?

With the human knowledge reaching the greatest heights with technology and connections, people basically know everything that is going around. (Or atleast have the means to know the world) Such knowledge brings about behavioral changes that in turn reflect on the choices of the people. The trends, the so-called 'viral' subjects and their intrusion into the human beliefs have given a new-age definition to the stereotypes.      With so many influences crowding around the human mind, its goes for the best ways of de-crowding by following the stereotypes, but sub-consciously. This has created or more clearly defined the demarcations of various user groups. 'Certain products' are specific to 'certain groups' since the past years because that is how marketing or any other comprehension  works. But how does this specification come into picture? Is it from the depth of personal choice or from the surface of common beliefs.      The common everyday recurren

Big Blue Teddy

Teddy bears are universally loved. They can instantly bring a smile on the onlooker. History takes us back to the time when American President Theodore Roosevelt refused to shoot a bear on a hunting trip. That being illustrated by a cartoonist was the very first profile of the teddy bear. The round fuller looking figure illustration sparked the impression. A candy shop owner with his wife, inspired by the illustration, developed the stuffed toy that became known as Teddy’s bear. Even today, the soft curved profile with the smooth fur surface and fluffy volume leaves an impression on our hearts. Being the fluffy companion it can, share your space, make you feel the company, see you through your emotions, listen to you and hug you to sleep after all the chaos of the day gets over. As the psychological facts have it, “ A 20 second hug releases oxytocin hormone, that lowers blood pressure and builds trust, happiness and love”. This explains the affinity of the female po

The Still-Sunday Vibe

It is tradition to celebrate Sundays and make the most out of it. Casual morning start only accelerates as the clock hands glide along the dial. The day kick starts and life is literally lived in that single day. City life is so. Energy gets built up as every day passes, only to get dumped over the weekend.         But when there is no energy to build up, there is vacuum. And all that enters vanishes into thin air.         What defines this energy? Is it about the activity or is it about the mind & its perception?         I would go with the latter. Even this still afternoon dullened by the gloomy weather, has the vibe flowing through the sounds of chilly breeze brushing through the trees. Petrichor , The smell of earth accompanying rain, fills the air and the birds that manage to fly through the cold North-East monsoon winds sit up and sing lullaby that puts the heart & soul at ease. There is
